This section is all about Netweaver BPM. If you are hearing NW BPM or BPM for the first time then it is really a great news because we going to deep dive into understanding the BPM from complete basics in this podcast.
BPM stands for Business Process Management and BRM stands for Business Rules Management. This is a component of SAP PO.
NW BPM runs on Composite Environment (CE) which is the environment completely built on Java based engine. So, you need to start learning everything from scratch even you are PRO in ccBPM.
ccBPM uses BPEL and NW BPM uses BPMN both are different languages and ccBPM runs on ABAP engine and NW BPM on Java Engine. So, there is no comparision of ccBPM with NW BPM both are different language and runs on diff engines.
If you are working on migration project from dual to single stack then there are no tools available to do the BPM conversion. You have to manually recreate all the ccBPM in NW BPM.
You will learn some important concept in this lesson about the need of BPM, how AEX communicates with BPM and when to use BPM or not and understand BPMN notations.
BPMN stands for Business Process Model and Notation and version is 2.0.
The symbols are categorized into 3 major categories.
I will give you high level overview on each of this section. So, that you will have a fair understanding about BPMN.
It is also really important to understand when the BPM are activated and how the communication happens between AEX and BPM. Without this knowledge you will not completely understand how to design or develop the interface.
If you are new to NW BPM then take this course to start your learning process with a solid basics foundation.

AEX to NW BPM Communication?
When you build interface in AEX, you need to build some part of interface in AEX and then you need to switch back to CE and develop BPM and then come back to AEX to complete the interface. Without clear understanding of theory you will be very very frustrated.
AEX and BPM communicate together with XI Protocol and AEX does some part of the interface processing and BPM does the other half. Go thru the course to understand it concepts well.
