In this section you will learn how to monitor you messages with PIMon which is the monitoring tool for AEX.
PIMon is the centralized monitoring and configuration tool that help to monitoring your AEX system at one place.
It is like Runtime Workbench monitoring tool in SAP PI dual stack and now renamed to PIMon.
There are 3 things that we do with this tool:
You will learn how to work this tool to monitor the message and trigger a test message.
You can even monitor the NW BPM messages using this tool so it really makes a complete centralized monitoring tool.
If you have multiple instance of AEX then you each AEX will have it own PIMon tool. So, make sure you know where you are monitoring the messages. Well, I will teach you how to properly understand how this PIMon works with AEX.
At the end of the blog, you can download the presentation file that is used in this demo! It is Absolutely FREE!

PIMon on AEX:
One thing I want to make you very clear is about how PIMon is available for us to monitor.
If you are working on customer landscape where they have many instance of AEX then each AEX will have its own PIMon.
Unless there is only one AEX which is centralized instance then you can login into this to monitor all the message end to end.
It depends on how customer has setup AEX in their landscape. So, don’t be confused when you trigger the message and cannot find in the monitoring tool. It might be the case that you have other AEX in landscape.
But when customer wants to have multiple AEX and not central. Well, AEX most important benefits is that it can run standalone integration tool without any use for other engine.
So, customer can install some install some interface in some AEX and distribute it region wise like Asia AEX, America AEX to reduce the risk. If there is any issue with Asia AEX then America AEX is not affect thus reduce the risk to business and company.
